AIEAT Partners with TILSNA under MHESI to Host "Global Medical AI Summit 2026," Driving Thai Medical AI Innovations from Lab to Real-World Application
Uniting healthcare leaders, startups, investors, and the public sector this October 30 at True Digital Park; expanding the MADE project incubating 44 Thai Medical AI enterprises alongside the Medical AI Pitching competition with a THB 35,000 prize.
BANGKOK – The Artificial Intelligence Entrepreneurs Association of Thailand (AIEAT), in collaboration with the Thailand Institute of Life Sciences and Nanotechnology Administration (Public Organization) or TILSNA under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI)—serving as the primary funding sponsor—and the Digital Council of Thailand (DCT), along with network partners, is organizing the “Global Medical AI Summit 2026” (GMAI 2026) on October 30, 2026, at True Digital Park, Bangkok. Held under the theme “Where Medical AI Meets Opportunity,” the summit aims to bridge Thailand’s Medical Artificial Intelligence (Medical AI) innovations with hospitals, capital sources, regulatory agencies, and international markets. The event will also highlight the progress of the MADE project, which selected 44 Thai enterprises for incubation to advance research into practical utility and commercialization.
Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation
Dr. Chanwit Boonchuay, President of the Artificial Intelligence Entrepreneurs Association of Thailand (AIEAT), stated at the press conference that Artificial Intelligence (AI) currently plays a critical role in elevating healthcare systems globally across diagnostics, treatment, and the development of new medical services. While Thailand possesses high-potential entrepreneurs, developers, and researchers, the country still faces hurdles in pushing Medical AI innovations from laboratories to real-world application, particularly concerning product standards, regulatory registration, market access, and clinical integration. The initiative therefore aims to advance Thai Medical AI through five key strategic pathways: upgrading enterprise capabilities to meet international standards, creating business and investment opportunities through Business Matching, promoting Thai innovations in the global market, developing the Medical AI Network (MAIN), and establishing Standard Guidelines for product development and regulatory registration to solidify Thailand’s Medical AI ecosystem and enhance international competitiveness.
Dr. Chanwit Boonchuay, President of the Artificial Intelligence Entrepreneurs Association of Thailand (AIEAT)
“The Global Medical AI Summit 2026 serves as a vital platform to build upon the project titled ‘Creating an Enabling Ecosystem for Medical Artificial Intelligence Innovation for Commercialization’ or MADE (Medical Artificial Intelligence Development for Entrepreneur), which has been incubating and upskilling Thai Medical AI enterprises since mid-2026. This summit is not merely a forum for knowledge exchange and showcase; it aims to generate tangible opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs and startups to bring research and technology into actual clinical deployment and commercial fruition through direct linkages with regulatory bodies, funding sources, hospital executives, and business partners, driving Thai Medical AI innovation to scale and compete internationally,” said Dr. Chanwit.
Dr. Chanwit further noted, “The MADE project accepted applications throughout July 2026, attracting over 80 applicants before narrowing the selection to 44 enterprises, announced on August 1, 2026. These selected enterprises underwent an intensive 4-week incubation curriculum from August 13 to September 11, 2026, at True Digital Park, organized with the collaboration of lecturers and experts from more than 20 regulatory agencies, research institutes, hospitals, and investment institutions to equip entrepreneurs to transition Medical AI innovations into real-world operations and the commercial market.”
“The curriculum covered five core pillars:
Standards and Product Testing: AI Benchmark, AI software standards, and ISO 13485 quality systems, led by NECTEC, TISI, and MASCI.
Product Registration: Guided by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Thailand.
Data Management and Security: Encompassing personal data protection, cybersecurity, and HL7 medical data interoperability standards.
Real-World Application Development: Insights and practical experience sharing with the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Bumrungrad International Hospital, and Ratchaphiphat Hospital, including Hospital Information System (HIS) integration.
Business Development and Capital Access: Collaboration with NIA, depa, NSTDA, PwC Thailand, MU Holding, and InnoSpace (Thailand) to reinforce business planning, risk management, and fundraising capabilities.”
“Additionally, the project hosted the Business Matching Fund on September 11, 2026, featuring 22 Medical AI product presentations before a judging committee. As a result, Ravis Technology and Sati were selected to exhibit their innovations at Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan 2026 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from December 3–6, 2026, marking another significant milestone in showcasing Thai Medical AI capabilities on the international stage.”
Furthermore, the MADE project organized on-site study visits across two routes to allow entrepreneurs to examine real clinical workflows and receive direct feedback from healthcare professionals: Khon Kaen Province (September 23–24, 2026) at Srinagarind Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, and Khon Kaen Hospital; and Bangkok (October 9, 2026) at the Siriraj Stroke Center, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, and the Thai HealthTech Trade Association (THTA).
The project has already yielded concrete commercial results: Mega Wiz Co., Ltd., a participating MADE enterprise, together with Bluepoint and Rescare, signed a 1-year partnership agreement with Ratchaphruek Hospital in Khon Kaen Province (effective October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2027) to provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment services for obstructive sleep apnea, including Sleep Tests and CPAP therapies, representing an annual project value exceeding THB 12.06 million and underscoring the commercial opportunities emerging from the incubation initiative.
Key highlights of the Global Medical AI Summit 2026 include over 30 prominent speakers spanning government, healthcare, investment, and technology sectors from Thailand and abroad. The summit will open with a keynote address entitled “Opening the Gateway – The Future of Thailand’s Healthcare and Medical AI” by Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, alongside the official launch ceremony of the Medical AI Network (MAIN) and addresses by international experts. The agenda features five major panel discussions covering HealthTech and Medical AI investment opportunities in ASEAN, startup journeys, hospital and technology partner perspectives, capital access, and government support measures.
The event will also spotlight 7 Medical AI innovations from Thailand and overseas, including 3 international showcases—KYAN Therapeutics, Navo Health, and Acryl Inc.—and 4 Thai Medical AI showcases—Sati, Ravis Technology, Athena AI, and Dosy Health—complemented by a dedicated Medical AI Exhibition and targeted Business Matching sessions connecting entrepreneurs with healthcare providers, investors, and strategic partners.
Another marquee segment is the Medical AI Pitching 2026, offering market-ready Medical AI enterprises an arena to pitch their innovations to local and international venture capitalists and judges across three categories: Precision & Personalized Medicine, Smart Hospitals, and Digital Patient Care, competing for the Outstanding Pitch Award valued at THB 35,000.
The Global Medical AI Summit 2026 will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 09:00 to 17:00 at True Digital Park, Bangkok. Interested participants can register online at: https://www.zipeventapp.com/e/Global-Medical-AI-Summit-2026
